 SOMEWHERE OVER THERE

Sandwiched between Hoods In The Woods and the Powerhouse Plunge, Somewhere Over There oozes flow through natural terrain and offers the most downhill of the three. After a stiff entrance exam down a convexing rock slab the trail immediately changes to loamy singletrack weaving through a stand of large trees. After numerous sweeping corners the trail levels out and sets you up for one of the longest sections of elevated woodwork in Squamish if not the whole Sea to Sky Corridor. Once off the carpentry, SOT descends through more sections before giving the rider a choice. Left for more of the same style of descent or straight ahead for a variety of short but steep granite slabs. Both options join back together for a sustained descent to the end.

Another gem of trail by Gary McFarlane, Somewhere Over There is one to seek out in Squamish. More detailed directions can be found at BikePirate – http://www.bikepirate.com/all-mtn-trails/somewhere-over-there/
